Close to home & further afield...
This year has seen my clients travelling to Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Mauritius, Kenya, Malaysia, Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Singapore & Mexico. It's been a busy year! Here are a few suggestions for your 2026 adventures - close to home & further afield.
scotland
This will be my own first adventure of 2026. If you believe in the restorative power of nature and like to take your dog along with you, a stay in one of these remote Scottish cottages or one of their boutique hotels, could be for you. Explore this stunning area on foot, e-bike, by 4x4 or paddle-board. Or simply kick-back in the cosy, stylish interiors and enjoy the views.
mozambique
Expect island-hopping, pristine snorkelling sites, kite-surfing, and long beach walks at this 6-bedroom lodge. The owners could not be more welcoming & knowledgeable. The beachfront property is in a stunning private location with views of the archipelago and is just a 20-minute drive from the airport - ideal for a relaxed post-safari stay.
france
This Cote d'Azur retreat is a year-round wellness property which offers genuine expertise in fitness & wellbeing as well as some unique opportunities to enjoy the outdoors whether it be hiking, taking the e-bikes out, or wild swimming. Recently awarded two Michelin Keys, the flavours here will make your heart sing - whether you're opting for the Shape Club menu or the full French fare.
indonesia
I now wear two travel hats, and representing this incredible private-island resort in Indonesia is one of them. I'm very pleased to share the news that this little known retreat has been recognised by Conde Nast Traveler in the 2026 Gold List. If you'd like more information on what a stay here is like, and for the best industry rates for your stay, do get in touch.
‘Julie, this is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The serenity, the design, the way the island feels so untouched yet so thoughtfully cared for… it was all utterly magical.’
south africa
‘Julie, the food was absolutely outstanding - breakfast, lunches & dinners. The chef coming out at mealtimes to chat was so personal, and the flavours & variety were off-the-charts. I would honestly go back for the food alone!' This small lodge in Timbavati Nature Reserve sets the industry standard in terms of guiding, wildlife sightings, stylish rooms and food.
